CONTACT A WCLIB REPRESENTATIVE
Or, a representative of the mill should contact one of the following people:
- Mr. Don DeVisser
Executive Vice President
- Mr. Skeet Rominger
Director of Quality Services
- Mr. Jim Gomes
Dist. Supervisor – Central Europe
- Mr. Jon Hartley
Dist. Supervisor – Scandinavia
- Mr. Kyle Schillereff
SCHEDULE A MILL VISIT BY A WCLIB DISTRICT SUPERVISOR
A WCLIB District Supervisor visits Europe once a month and could be available to visit a mill that is interested in membership. At that time, the Supervisor can deliver and discuss the Membership Contract and Licensing Agreement documents. He could also discuss the lumber and board products that the mill might be interested in producing.
CONDUCT A LUMBER GRADING CLASS FOR THE MILL’S LUMBER GRADERS
This would probably involve a second visit. The District Supervisor would spend time training the graders about the North American lumber and board grades. Once the graders have demonstrated that they are familiar with these grades, they are issued grading cards and certificates.
ORDER GRADE STAMPS
At this point, the mill can order grade stamps from the WCLIB Portland, Oregon office and begin grade-stamping lumber for the U.S. market. Subsequent stamp orders are placed directly with our vendor, Gateway Graphics, by calling toll-free 844.559.5083 or by emailing Peter O’Brien at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once a mill has become a member of WCLIB, the District Supervisor visits the mill once a month to check the lumber grades, train new graders, or qualify graders for grading new lumber grades.
